CeeDee Lamb’s home burglarized for $300K in property while Dallas Cowboys star was at training camp

Police responded to Lamb’s home in Fairview, Texas, the afternoon of July 31 for a report of a home burglary.

When officers arrived, they met with “individuals representing Mr. Lamb” who showed them a broken window on the side of the home where the burglars most likely entered, Fairview police said in a statement Sunday.

Evidence pointed to a single person’s entering and exiting through that window, taking “several high-end personal items,” officials said. More than $300,000 worth of property was stolen, including four luxury bags, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, citing the police report.

A night for the history books: Navajo Nation shows up for Cowboys OL Shiyazh Pete

Cowboys rookie offensive lineman Shiyazh Pete is the first member of the Navajo Nation, the largest Native American reservation in the United States, to sign with an NFL team.

In Saturday's 34-14 win over the Cardinals, Pete saw just how much his accomplishment meant to his people. Thousands of members of the Navajo Nation, including President Buu Nguyen, made the short trip south to Glendale to show their support for Pete in his first NFL preseason appearance.

When Pete entered the game in the fourth quarter, the members were the first to notice and began cheering. Pete played just six total plays on one drive that resulted in a Phil Mafah touchdown, but that was more than enough for everyone who made the trip to see him, as he received a standing ovation upon his return to the Cowboys bench.

Cowboys depth chart becomes clearer in win at Cardinals

Joe Milton had the offense humming in the first half when Dallas built a 24-6 lead by the break, while Sam Howell did not have the same success in the second half. Jaydon Blue returned to the field after not being seen much at practice leading up to this game, missing the joint practice against the Saints too, and led the team in carries. These 15 carries for Blue compared to eight for Israel Abanikanda and five for Malik Davis don’t nearly tell the full RB competition story though, as Davis again looked good in his limited opportunities, and even Phil Mafah took his one carry of the night for a 15-yard touchdown.

Jonathan Mingo scored a touchdown on a 53-yard bomb from Milton. Mingo is an experienced player looking to separate himself from the fan-favorite, Camden Brown. It wasn’t long after this though that Brown had a 69-yard catch and run that was a yard away from being another preseason touchdown for the UDFA, keeping the WR depth chart fight entertaining.

On defense, Jaishawn Barham asserted himself in his rookie debut, playing as the “green dot” of Christian Parker’s defense and flying around to make the types of plays that made him one of the stars of the Oxnard portion of camp. Shavon Revel Jr. had an interception that gave the offense a short field to score the first touchdown of the night, and take a lead they never relinquished.

4 winners and 1 loser from Cowboys' preseason rout of the Cardinals

Winner: Jaishawn Barham - LB

The rookie linebacker from Michigan missed Week 1 of the preseason due to a groin injury, but he surely made up for it in Week 2. Barham played just 22 defensive snaps, but he made five tackles, three stops, and recorded a pressure.

It's also worth noting that he made another play on a screen pass, but he was unable to finish the tackle. Still, he made a big enough impact on the play for his teammates to clean up the missed tackle.

It remains to be seen what Barham’s role will be during the 2026 season, but he’s checked every single box so far in camp and now in the preseason. There is a level of physicality to his game that none of the other linebackers possess and that could earn him a spot on the starting defense sooner rather than later.

12 rapid-fire thoughts from Cowboys' dominant win over the Cardinals

Joe Milton looked comfortable and outright dominant at times. He also made routine throws, used his legs to extend plays and continued to be automatic on QB sneaks. He ripped several deep throws up the sideline and scored on an easy QB draw. Milton missed a few throws, but still. Sam Howell didn't fare as well, turning it over in the end zone. He did look mobile and efficient otherwise.

Jaishawn Barham came downhill like a missile and swerved around an offensive lineman for an easy TFL on the first drive, and then again later in the first quarter. He also had a pressure and a nice tackle in coverage during the early going. Barham missed one tackle but was otherwise stupendous.

Saturday was Jaydon Blue's best showing, as he ran for a handful of solid gains. What should impress fans most, though, is the fact that he was finally running through contact and kept his legs churning to pick up a few extra yards. He tallied 75 yards on 15 carries.

Studs and duds from New York Giants' preseason Week 2 win over Miami

Dud: RB Tyrone Tracy, Jr.

For the second straight week, Tracy made a killer mistake. Last week, he missed a block that nearly got Jaxson Dart beheaded. This week, Tracy fumbled on the Miami 11 in the first half, killing a Giants' scoring drive. Tracy rushed for 26 yards on six carries and added 22 more on three receptions, but none of that detracts from the mistake. He's in no danger of being cut, but he has to shape up if he is going to be a key contributor this season.

Stud: CB Deonte Banks

Banks looked sharp again in coverage and appears to be an entirely different player than the one we've seen the past three years. Banks had two total tackles and two passes defensed. He is pushing hard to regain his starter status. Whether he gets back to that remains to be seen, but Banks has been crushing it this summer.

Giants rookie stock report after preseason shellacking of the Dolphins

Arvell Reese, LB

The box score suggests that Arvell Reese didn’t make much of an impact. The 6-foot-4, 243-pound linebacker played only 10 snaps and made one tackle. Still, he’s impressed all offseason and looks tailor-made for a Defensive Rookie of the Year campaign.

He didn’t raise or lower his stock, and I’d be surprised if they had him play in Friday’s final preseason game against the Jets, given that his starting role isn’t going anywhere.

Verdict: Stock neutral

Bobby Jamison-Travis, DL

Finally, we have some movement. After posting a dismal 47.5 Pro Football Focus grade against Minnesota, the 6-foot-3, 328-pound space-eater bounced back in a big way, earning a 75.6 overall grade.

He held up better against the run and even recorded his first live-action sack. BJT is firmly on the bubble, and another strong performance on Friday could get him into the conversation for a 53-man roster spot. Stock going up.

9 Winners and 3 Losers From the Giants' 26-3 Preseason Rout of the Dolphins

WR Darius Slayton

Slayton has had a quiet summer since being cleared physically to return from an offseason hernia procedure. It also hasn’t helped that he’s had rookie Malachi Fields nipping at his heels for the No. 2 receiver spot.

So after a quiet 2026 preseason debut in which he didn’t have any pass targets thrown his way, Slayton did all he could to prove his worth against the Dolphins, catching four of six pass targets for a team-leading 58 yards.

The veteran wideout was especially productive on New York's first drive of the game, picking up 34 yards on two catches, which helped put the Giants in position for Winston's touchdown scramble.

Malik Nabers Could Shed No-Contact Jersey This Week, Harbaugh Says

"That's a possibility," Harbaugh said. "We'll just have to see where that's at. I don't think it's a necessity this week. We're still three weeks out from the game, the first game and then after that. We'll see where he's at this week. We'll see how he feels tomorrow."

Eagles Stock Market Following Preseason Game 2: Start Buying On Carson Steele

The normally reliable Britain Covey attempted to buy field position by racing up to catch a short punt in the first quarter and let the football get into his chest, and it bounced away from him. Covey was able to recover the football, but any flub could open the door for others to look at for the punt return job.

In Covey’s next attempt, he made a questionable decision by catching the punt at the 2-yard line but made up for it with a 21-yard return. Overall, Covey returned all four punts in the game and Elijah Moore got no opportunities.

He perfectly timed a blitz to sack Tommy DeVito and also chased him down to minimize the damage on a scramble a bit earlier. He has been balling all summer. The Eagles are set with Zack Baun and Jihaad Campbell but Trotter has starter potential in this league. Trotter had 5 tackles and a sack.

Eagles News: “Tanner McKee has to be the Eagles’ backup quarterback. Andy Dalton just isn’t very good.”

Tanner McKee outplayed Andy Dalton despite having to work with the Eagles’ mostly third-string offensive line and skill position players. Nick Sirianni may claim that there has been a fair competition for the No. 2 quarterback spot, and that Dalton has only started both preseason games because he has more experience.

But McKee hasn’t had the benefit of performing with players who will actually make the Eagles’ 53-man roster. And yet, he looked like a far more viable backup to Jalen Hurts than Dalton did in the Eagles’ 24-21 loss to the New England Patriots on Saturday night. McKee wasn’t without his faults. He missed throws from the pocket and struggled at times when pressured. But it is worth questioning how Dalton could end up winning the job, let alone entice some quarterback-needy team into trading for him. There’s still another preseason game and a week until the roster deadline, but time is running out on the 38-year-old veteran.

5 takeaways from Washington 17-13 loss to Detroit

Even more impressive was how opportunistic the Commanders were when it came to attacking the football. The team struggled with creating turnovers in 2025, ranking near the bottom in the category ahead of only the New York Jets. That appears to be a thing of the past for the unit, as they added another two turnovers to their total for the preseason. The first came on the second play from scrimmage, when Amik Robertson sprinted into the backfield on a blitz to knock the ball out of Dobbs' grasp. The ball ended up in the end zone as Lions and Commanders tried to recover it, but it was Joshua Josephs who ended up with his hands on it. The next came six plays later. Dobbs rolled to his right to avoid pressure and tried to get the ball to Tay Martin, but Quan Martin, who already had an interception in the preseason, got his second.
