Commanders' Antonio Gibson vs. Brian Robinson Jr.: Who Has Higher Madden Rating?

In this story:
New Washington Commanders' offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy inherited a star receiver in the form of Terry McLaurin, and there's hope that second-year wideout Jahan Dotson will emerge as a complimentary piece in 2023.
What the Commanders will get from their running backs is less certain, and that's reflected in the ratings for "Madden NFL 24," which will be released by EA Sports next month.
While McLaurin was rated among the NFL's best receivers, Washington's highest-rated running back was Brian Robinson Jr. at 79. Robinson -- who rushed for 797 yards in 12 games in his rookie season -- had the same rating as three other running backs; Damien Harris of the Buffalo Bills, Raheem Mostert of the Miami Dolphins and Rashaad Penny of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Meanwhile, Antonio Gibson was given a 77 rating after a disappointing third season that saw him rush for just 546 yards, a season after he topped 1,000 yards. But as someone who has 124 catches to show for his first three NFL campaigns, you figure that Bieniemy will find a role for Gibson, even if he's not the 1A rushing option.
Obviously, the Commanders hope that second-year quarterback Sam Howell emerges as the long-term solution at the position in 2023. But one way to ease the pressure on an inexperienced quarterback is to have an effective running game. A year ago, Washington was the only NFC East team not to reach the postseason. If Bieniemy is able to get more out of both Robinson and Gibson, perhaps that will change in 2023.
