Dallas Drama: 'I Want Dak Out of Cowboys!' Says Prescott's Brother - Revealing A Truth?

Dak Prescott's brother has used social media often to express his views on the Dallas Cowboys. And now that there is a contract conflict with Jerry Jones? Maybe Tad isn't just speaking for Tad.

FRISCO - Dak Prescott's brother has used social media often to express his distaste for his involvement with the Dallas Cowboys (such as it is, for the team never actually signed him), saying he "wants out'' of the "America's Team'' experience.

"Cowboy fans who continue to DM me, TRUST ME,'' said Tad Prescott on social media recently, "If I could get Dak to leave Dallas, I would.''

And suddenly, Tad's voice - which to me, conventionally, has no place here as all he's doing is inserting himself into a place where his presence does nothing positive for his brother's locker room - resonates.

Because maybe the Cowboys' problem is Dak, and maybe Dak's problem is the Cowboys, and maybe, given the reported plan to skip contract extension talks and really, truly allow the QB to explore NFL free agency in March 2025 ... and maybe both parties are as willing to divorce as Tad is.

The full Tad post, for what it's worth: “Cowboy fans why continue to DM me TRUST ME, if I could get @dak to leave Dallas I would. I too want him out of Dallas,” Tad Prescott said in a post on X. “The city and organization have been great to he and our family, but done with drama and the so called fans, but he loves this team, and wants to bring it rings.”

The play of Prescott is subject to public scrutiny. That is part of the job. As always, a player's well-intentioned supportive relative's failure to comprehend that is mystifying - especially because when the Cowboys are riding high, these very same relatives refer to the Cowboys as "us'' and "we.''

But in the wake of a playoff loss? And a contract negotiation gone bad? And a "Blow It Up'' on the horizon? Maybe Tad - who is presently tweeting all about the breakup - isn't the only Prescott who wants out.
