The man who initially broke that the Philadelphia Eagles would be changing defensive coordinators in December is remaining steadfast about any additional coaching updates in the future.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports Monday morning made clear despite rumblings of talk surrounding his status, Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is not on the hot seat as the team prepares for their Monday Night wild card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"I think it's good. I don't think he goes anywhere," Glazer said. "I'm not hearing that he's out."

Glazer pointed to the Eagles' recent success under Sirianni as a reason for the team to remain patient with the current head coach.

Sirianni is 36-19 as Philadelphia's head coach with a Super Bowl appearance. He is the only coach in franchise history to reach the playoffs in his first three years.

So why is the conversation surrounding his job status even in the air?

To Glazer, it's more about the level of success he's had and the struggles of maintaining that success weekly.

"The problem there is when you had adversity, you don't have grace," Glazer explained. "When the 49ers get smashed by the Ravens, adversity is a gift. There are a lot of teams that can bounce back. In Philadelphia, there's no such thing as a little molehill. It becomes a lot and heavier and heavier whoever is coaching there."

Philadelphia dropped five of its last six games to end the 2023-24 regular season. During that time, the team has altered their defensive staff, had anonymous sources criticize the quarterback's "stoic" demeanor, and now, reports that Sirianni's influence in the offense has left some frustrated.

Despite all the off-field concern, Glazer and many prominent NFL reporters have made it clear that the team isn't expected to move on from the franchise's leader.

Even if the fanbase won't be too happy with the decision.
