‘Beef!’ Cowboys’ Micah Parsons Fires Back At Eagles’ Jalen Carter?

NFL training camp has just begun, but Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons and Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalen Carter are already trash-talking.

Earlier this week, Philadelphia Eagles rookie Jalen Carter embraced his team’s rivalry with the Dallas Cowboys, and it seems as though their star pass rusher Micah Parsons is now firing back with some comments of his own.

“I’m ready to kill the Cowboys,” Carter said in an exclusive interview for EaglesToday.com at SI. “Everybody’s got beef. I might as well join the wave.”

The Eagles drafted the former Georgia Bulldogs standout defensive tackle No. 9 overall in the recent NFL Draft. Many believe that the Eagles got a steal and that Carter will win Defensive Rookie of The Year, but Dallas’ All-Pro doesn’t sound like a believer.

“I think we are the top team in the NFC,” Parsons said of his Cowboys while on 105.3 The Fan. “We’re the only team that gained players. We didn’t lose a Javon Hargrave (former Eagles defensive tackle) and then draft somebody (Jalen Carter). We have everybody across the board.”

Hargrave signed with the San Francisco 49ers in the offseason after the former Pro Bowler had career highs in solo tackles [37], tackles for loss [10], and sacks [11]. Although those are impressive numbers, they’re certainly ones that Carter is talented enough to match.

“I’m gonna try to get as many sacks as I can, tackles, field goal blocks, and all,” Carter said when asked if he believed he’d get double-digit sacks in the NFL, adding that it was his dream to get DROTY, so he’s, “gotta get that.”

While Parsons might be the NFL’s best defensive player and is among its most vocally colorful.

As for the Eagles rookie Carter? The Eagles look to reach 70 sacks for the second consecutive season, and he wants in

“I come eager to learn, listen to the veterans, play my role, and do what I can do best,” Carter said. “We’re ready to play. We’re gonna play hard every game. We play easy games, and we’re gonna get bored out there. Let’s go!”
