PHILADELPHIA – The last time anyone laid eyes on Dallas Goedert was a month ago when Dallas Cowboys safety Marquese Bell yanked him down by his arm while making a tackle. Bell landed on Goedert’s arm causing a fractured bone in his forearm.

The injury kept the Philadelphia Eagles tight end out the last three games. He will likely make his return on Sunday night when the Eagles play a primetime Sunday night game in Dallas. Goedert was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury estimate.

“Obviously, I don’t want to miss any games, but this is a big game,” said Goedert on Wednesday. “It’s really fun going to Dallas every year and playing in a fun environment like that, so I’m really excited to get back. Dallas in Dallas has a ring to it.”

Goedert is still third on the team in receiving despite missing three games since the injury on Nov. 5. He has 38 receptions for 410 yards and two touchdowns this year.

His absence has been felt greatly, with nobody really stepping in to pick up the slack in the passing game and the run game struggling. Goedert, of course, excels in both running routes, making catches, and run blocking.

Dallas Goedert is expected to return to the lineup after missing three games with an injury suffered against the Dallas Cowboys earlier this season.

“We’re playing a good offense again and we’re going to have to go down and put points on the board,” he said.

Goedert was asked if he thought Bell purposely tried to injure him.

“It was one of those tough situations,” he said. “He got my arm wrapped up and fell on top of it. Nothing dirty on his part. I wish I would’ve pulled my arm back a little bit faster. It’s part of the sport. Injuries, they say, it’s not if, it’s when. I’m just thankful I’m able to get back on the field this week.”

He called it a “fluke play.”

“It’s something that’s not going to happen very often,” said Goedert. “I never had it happen before, so I feel like my running style will stay the same. Maybe I’ll make sure I get my arm back a little faster so they can’t grab onto it.”

The Eagles could also get linebacker Zach Cunningham back. Cunningham, who is second on the team in tackles with 71, missed last week’s game with a hamstring injury.
