The specifics surrounding Jonathan Gannon's departure from the Philadelphia Eagles to join the Arizona Cardinals will continue to pique the curiosity of some. ... while others seem satisfied with the results of it all.

Despite being overlooked for coaching positions with the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, Gannon confidently declared to reporters after the NFC Championship, "Philly is keeping me." However, following a lackluster performance in Super Bowl LVII, where his defense encountered significant challenges, Gannon was appointed as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals two days after the conclusion of the Super Bowl.

Just moments before the start of the 2023 NFL DraftPhiladelphia, and Arizona issued a joint statement announcing their agreement on a tampering settlement related to Gannon's hiring. To settle the dispute, the Eagles and Cards agreed on a deal in which the Eagles swapped their late third-round pick – No. 94 overall – as well as their own fifth-round pick in next year’s draft – for No. 66 overall this year.

Is that revelation enough? Not to one interviewer, as in a visit with Howie Roseman on NBC's Pro Football Talk podcast, Mike Florio tried to elicit information from the Eagles' general manager but faced resistance, as Roseman remained unwilling to share further details.

In a surprising turn of events, Roseman, known for his reluctance to divulge information to the media, caught many off-guard with a sharp response to Florio. When pressed for further details, Roseman fired back, saying, "Didn't I already answer you twice? ... If I was making a list of top-five conspiracy theorists around the NFL... You'd definitely be top-five."

As the upcoming season approaches, the Eagles will eagerly await the opportunity to face Gannon's Cardinals in a highly-anticipated Week 17 matchup. ... at which time we're sure more "investigated journalism'' will take place.
