Eagles vs. Giants: D'Andre Swift Illness OUT? Week 18: How to Watch, Betting Odds
The Eagles head to New York to play the Giants for the second time in three weeks. Philadelphia downed the G-Men 33-25 on Christmas Day, snapping a three-game skid that could end up costing the Eagles the division title.
New York is out of the playoffs with nothing to play for but would love to play the role of spoiler for their division rival. Philadelphia needs a win and a Cowboys loss at Washington to salvage the NFC East crown after leading the division race most of the season. ...
But D'Andre Swift is not expected to play against the Giants because of an illness. His numbers will end up good; the Philly-area native and newcomer to the team will finish the 2023 campaign with 1,073 yards, his first time hitting the 1,000-yard mark since entering the league in 2020.

Meanwhile, Eagles linebacker Haasan Reddick is looking for another big game against the Giants. Two weeks ago, the Temple product had four quarterback hits and a tackle for a loss on a 4th and 1. Last season, Reddick registered five tackles, 1.5 sacks, three quarterback hits and a tackle for a loss in the playoff win over New York.
The Giants' defense will be focusing on slowing down the Eagles' offense. In the past two meetings with New York, Philadelphia had a combined 881 yards and 71 points. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown for three touchdowns and run for two more.
Philadelphia has won the past five matchups between the East rivals and 13 of the last 15. If the Eagles end up with the No. 5 seed in the playoffs, they'll open on the road against the winner of the NFC South. That could bode well for Philly who is an NFL-best 18-7 on the road since 2021.
