During the first half against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons looked like a team accepting the fact their coach was going to get fired. Then, something clicked.

The Falcons outscored the Cardinals by 16 points in the final 25 minutes. Unfortunately, Atlanta still needed one more point, as the Cardinals held on to win, 34-33, at State Farm Stadium on Sunday.

With the loss, Atlanta drops to 1-5 while Arizona improves to 2-3-1.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, the officials heavily influenced the outcome of the game. A couple replay reviews didn't go Atlanta's way, and the Falcons failed to do enough to overcome the questionable (at best) calls.

Atlanta also left a point on the field with a missed extra point after its final touchdown. Kicker Matt Bryant was previously 10-for-10 on extra-point tries this season and had made more than 98 percent of his extra points since 2015.

The loss can't fall on just the officials and Bryant, though, as the Falcons again allowed a quarterback to look like an All-Pro through the first half. Cardinals signal caller Kyler Murray went 16 of 19 while averaging more than 12 yards per attempt with a touchdown in the first half.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank reportedly wants to see progress made over the next few weeks before making a decision on Dan Quinn's job status. If that's true, Blank's decision on Quinn just got tougher.

Does he more heavily way the disappointing outcome and terrible first half or the progress the team made in the second half? It's tough to tell, but clearly, the Falcons didn't do enough to cool off Quinn's seat in the defeat.
