With the NFL offseason just getting started, all eyes in the scouting community are focused on the 2023 NFL Draft ... but what about the year after?

The top prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft is projected to be USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams, the reigning winner of the Heisman Trophy given annually to the top player in college football.

And if it's to him, he'd very much like being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons.

In an interview with People Magazine, Williams said the Miami Dolphins are his "No. 1 one spot" over a year in advance of the draft, but proceeded to mention "San Fran, Raiders or Falcons" as other teams at the top of his list.

Naturally, Williams later said he'll "play anywhere," but it is particularly noteworthy that he's already fond of the possibility of playing in Atlanta.

One of the things Williams mentioned was his interest in being around younger coaches, and he liked the idea of having Miami's skill position players, including receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and tight end Mike Gesicki.

Williams didn't touch on this for the Falcons in the interview, but he didn't need to - in mid-November, the 21-year-old shared one of the Falcons' posts featuring star tight end Kyle Pitts and franchise rookie record-breaking receiver Drake London to his Instagram story with the caption "Deadly."

When speaking with Arizona safety Christian Young at the East-West Shrine Bowl, Falcon Report posed the question of who the best player was he faced during his five-year career as a Power 5 safety.

The response? Caleb Williams. No hesitation.

Williams, a Washington, D.C. native, is widely regarded as a special talent - and evidently is intrigued by the possibility of playing in Atlanta.

Will the Falcons hold a high enough draft pick to select Williams? Perhaps more importantly, will the Falcons have a need at quarterback come next offseason?

There's plenty to play it before these questions are answered, starting with the offseason that's currently on the docket.

Nonetheless, Williams has interest in the Falcons - but whether it plays out to where he's in Atlanta won't be decided for another 14 months.
