Another prospect makes their way to Jacksonville with the Jaguars using their second fourth-round selection on defensive end Tyler Lacy.

Having recently appeared on 1010XL, there was a feeling that Lacy could be on the Jaguars' radar. In an interview with local media, the 23-year-old made clear that he felt very comfortable ending up in Jacksonville through that and his Top 30 visit.

“When I went there for my 30 visit I felt really comfortable,” Lacy said. “I felt like I was at home and I felt like everything was just welcoming, and that’s where I wanted to be.”

When asked about who he believed his player comparison was and what he could become, Lacy was quick to point out another fellow Jaguar

“Roy [Jaguars defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris],” Lacy said. “Before I got on the plane to Jacksonville I was watching some of his film and it just reminded me a little of me so that’s who I want to go after.”

Lacy made clear that Jacksonville will be getting a playmaker and a steal at the selection in which he was taken, and is grateful for the opportunity to join the Jaguars organization.

“I’m a versatile player, I can play from the five all the way down to the nose,” Lacy exclaimed. “I feel comfortable there. I feel that I can help the team win in any position possible and I’m really hungry and ready to get to work.”

Lacy, 6-foot-4, 279 pounds, started 44 games for Oklahoma State over the last four seasons, recording 113 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 11.5 tackles, three forced fumbles, and four pass deflections in that span.

Lacy missed three games with an ankle injury in 2019 but started 10 games, recording 20 tackles, two tackles for loss, and two pass deflections.

Lacy started 11 games in 2020, recording 32 tackles, eight tackles for loss and four sacks, earning Honorable Mention All-Big 12.

Lacy started 14 games in 2021, recording 34 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one pass deflection, again earning Honorable Mention All-Big 12.

Lacy finished his career with nine starts in 2022 after missing four games due to an ankle injury, recording 27 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, and one pass deflection.
