Power Ranking the Jaguars' Place in the NFL Ahead of 2026 Draft

In this story:
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The 2026 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away, and the table is being set for the 2026 season right before our eyes.
So, where do we think the Jaguars rank in the NFL's hierachy before the draft? We break it down below.
32: Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are set to be in year one of a massive rebuild. They have a few pieces here and there, but the roster is several years away.
31: New York Jets

The New York Jets have a lot of resources, but that was a brutal team on both sides of the ball last year and I am skeptical about their 2026 chances. Maybe they can get Arch Manning, though.
30: Arizona Cardinals

Mike LaFleur has some upside as a head coach if all goes right, but that roster is certainly bare of some important must-have spots.
29: Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns might have the worst quarterback situation in the entire NFL, but Myles Garrett and Denzel Ward alone make up for a few spots.
28: Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders will once again have a lot of roster work to do, but Fernando Mendoza is a heck of a way to start.
27: Tennessee Titans

Robert Saleh is perfectly fine as a head coach, but I have doubts he is a difference-maker without a strong front office. The early returns on the Titans' front office have been, well, not great. There is no promise this won't be a repeat of the New York Jets' era that Saleh led, other than the fact that Cam Ward is a much better quarterback than Zach Wilson. Titans should be better. We will see if they will be any good.
26: New York Giants

The New York Giants got way better at head coach, but I am skeptical their quarterback can stay healthy for 17 games. Until he does, I am not so sold on their chances. Plus, they might have GM32.
25: Atlanta Falcons

If the Browns have the worst quarterback situation in the NFL, then the Atlanta Falcons are in the next tier. Kevin Stefanski made an odd choice with this job.
24: New Orleans Saints

I am not yet a believer that the New Orleans Saints have their quarterback, but they did show some growth last year and will have a better roster this season.
23: Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings could get a boost here with a strong year from Kyler Murray, who is a much better quarterback option than anyone they had on their roster a year ago. But for now, we still wait.
22: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers still have quarterback questions, but there is enough talent for them to be a middling team instead of a poor one in the wake of Mike Tomlin leaving.
21: Carolina Panthers

Dave Canales did an admirable job witht he Panthers last season, but I am still not a believer in Bryce Young as their quarterback.
20: Washington Commanders

The Commanders have some talent, but they feel mismanged over the last two seasons. A lot will rest on what happens in terms of the health of their quarterback room.
19: Indianapolis Colts

I am not sold on the Colts going back to the Daniel Jones well. Or the Chris Ballard well. Or the Shaine Steichen well! We will see, but it feels like they need a ton of positive breaks to have their season turn into anything meaningful.
18: Cincinnati Bengals

Zac Taylor should be on the hot seat, and their defense needs more than just a few free agents to fix it. Plus, Joe Burrow has to stay healthy for a full season.
17: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Todd Bowles is likely on the hot seat after a tough end to their 2025 season, and Baker Mayfield still needs to prove himself under yet another offensive coordinator.
16: Detroit Lions

The Ben Johnson departure was a massive loss for the Detroit Lions, and now they have some big issues along the offensive line as well.
15: Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have a lot of momentum on offense, and their defense has to be better than a year ago. Right?
14: Green Bay Packers

The Packers lost a ton of pieces this offseason and they have Micah Parsons off an ACL injury. They may take a step backward.
13: Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have a good amount of roster questions and a recovering Patrick Mahomes. They are still obviously a contender in the AFC, but there ares ome obstacles.
12: Chicago Bears

Ben Johnson is legit, and so is Caleb Williams. We will see what Ryan Poles can do for the both of them this offseason.
11: Los Angeles Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers haven't taken serious steps toward improving, but they have one of the best quarterback-head coach duos in the entire NFL.
10: Philadelphia Eagles

The Jalen Hurts era is entering a critical season, but the Eagles are still one of the most talented rosters in all of football.
9: Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are moving on from a talented head coach in Sean McDermott, and it will be up to Joe Brady to elevate the roster. Still, they have Josh Allen, who covers up for a lot of spots.
8: Baltimore Ravens

Jesse Minter is a rookie head coach, but they still have Lamar Jackson and Kyle Hamilton. As long as they have them, they have all they need.
7: San Francisco 49ers

Kyle Shanahan is one of the NFL's best coaches and they are returning most of their top contributors on both sides of the ball.
6: New England Patriots

Mike Vrabel dd a great job last season and Drake Maye is the real deal, but the roster still feels like it just a bit behind the other teams in this range.
5: Denver Broncos

Sean Payton has done a good job bringing the Broncos back, and he has gotten the most out of their offense despite not having a top quarterback. As long as they have Payton and their defense, they will win games.
4: Houston Texans

DeMeco Ryans leads the NFL's best defense and they have blue-chip players at cornerback, wide receiver and defensive end. Even with C.J. Stroud's issues, they are a top team.
3: Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars are returning virtually every single player from a year ago outside of Travis Etienne and Devin Lloyd. Departures of a running back and linebacker won't doom the Jaguars' trajectory, which should only be on the rise following Trevor Lawrence's first year in the system.
Add in the fact the Jaguars have 11 draft picks and will get boosts from the returns of injured players like Travis Hunter and Caleb Ransaw, and there are not many holes to poke in the Jaguars as a contender. Texans, Broncos, 49ers? They beat all of them.
2: Los Angeles Rams

As long as Sean McVay, Les Snead, and Matthew Stafford are around, the Los Angeles Rams are one of the NFL's elite squads.
1: Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have one of the best head coaches in football, a roster full of young talent, and they managed to win a Super Bowl without a top quarterback. They are the king as of today.
