Jerry Jacobs: Lions Have 'Hella Room' for Darius Slay

The Detroit Lions missed out on their opportunity to snag Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey, as the talented defensive back was traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Jerry Jacobs, who had previously made a pitch to bring Ramsey to Detroit, has turned his attention to a former member of the Lions roster.

Detroit's talented cornerback is seeking any avenue possible in order to add talented defensive backs to the roster.

On social media, Jacobs tweeted Darius Slay, "Yoo big bro @bigplayslay we got hella room for you here my guy let's make some happen I know the whole Detroit would love for that to happen."

Slay, who has reportedly been granted an opportunity to seek a trade away from the Philadelphia Eagles, has often shared his support publicly about his former team and the fanbase.

"It's all love in Detroit," Slay replied.

On a recent episode of his "Big Play Slay" podcast, the 32-year-old defensive back addressed the recent rumors surrounding his future.

"I know what’s going on. I hear the rumors. I hear everything,” Slay said. “I see everything all over the globe, all over the internet, and I just want my fans to know Slay did not ask to be traded. But this is part of the business. There’s no bad blood against neither one of us, me or (Eagles GM) Howie (Roseman). None of that. We all good, great understanding. It’s just the business part of it. A lot of guys go up for trades, you know. They got a lot of money involved in this situation, so it’s nothing big, nothing too serious. It’s just part of the business, man."
