Detroit Lions Betting Favorites to Win NFC North in 2023
Following a very successful 2022 NFL campaign, the Detroit Lions are currently betting favorites to win the NFC North in 2023, according to many popular sports books.
It has been since the mid 1990's since the team last won the division.
Going 5-1 against rivals in the division last season has given the organization and NFL analysts increased belief the team can win the division and potentially even host a home playoff game at Ford Field.
The Lions presently possess +150 odds to win the division, and are followed by the Minnesota Vikings (+270), Green Bay Packers (+310) and Chicago Bears (+475).
General manger Brad Holmes, speaking at the NFL Combine, expressed that while there were clear needs on defense, each unit could still benefit from upgrades.
"I'll tell you what, I mean, we said at the start of our free-agency meetings, I think last year we were a little bit more pointed, but I think every single position is on the table. There's not one position that we could think of, offense and defense, that we don't need to address," said Holmes. "Whether that's starting-level players or looking at some good, quality depth."
