Lions Fans Disgusted, Frustrated Officials Blow Call

Lions fans are frustrated officials are part of the story again.

NFL officials are under heavy scrutiny yet again for a decision made near the conclusion of the Detroit Lions contest against the Dallas Cowboys.

It appeared left tackle Taylor Decker successfully completed a two-point conversion try.

But wait.

Officials threw flags and took the points off the board for Detroit, citing the veteran left tackle did not report as being an eligible receiver.

Videos have surfaced online that clearly show Decker did in fact report properly.

A video also shows Jared Goff instructing him to go over and comply with rules.

Postgame, head coach Dan Campbell was the most frustrated he has ever been addressing the media.

“Would you be frustrated right now?” Campbell expressed, when asked what was the source of his frustration. “I don’t like losing, and that’s what happened. We lost. And that bothers me. That bothers me. I don’t like having an ‘L.’ That’s the frustration.”

A pool report released after the game only served to agitate supporters even more, as Brad Allen regurgitated his incorrect assessment.

According to The MMQB's Albert Breer, "So Brad Allen went with “Calling the Lions liars” - saying that Dan Skipper reported as eligible (he couldn’t have been eligible, based on alignment) and that Taylor Decker didn’t. This is gonna get real interesting."

Supporters took to social media to express frustration, anger and disappointment that NFL officials, who has been sloppy and controversial all season, made a call that could have significant playoff ramifications for Detroit

One supporter took to social media and wrote, "Taylor Decker is literally on film reporting himself eligible to your official. @NFL @NFLOfficiating this is absolutely inexcusable what are you going to do to about this? This man must be fired or investigated immediately."

Here is a sample of the reaction online to yet another officiating debacle.
