GREEN BAY, Wis. – The left side of the Green Bay Packers’ offensive wall, tackle David Bakhtiari and guard Elgton Jenkins, didn’t practice this week but will start on Thursday against the Tennessee Titans.

On a short week, the Packers didn’t practice. Coming off major knee injuries, Bakhtiari and Jenkins wouldn’t have practiced, anyway, after playing all 64 snaps on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Taking the cautious approach during an abbreviated workweek, coach Matt LaFleur will count on the experience of Bakhtiari and Jenkins to deliver strong performances against a high-quality Titans front.

That front will include Jeffery Simmons, who is active after being questionable with an ankle injury. Simmons, a former first-round pick, was a Pro Bowler last season with a career-high 8.5 sacks. He’s got 5.5 sacks this season.

“Simmons is a real baller,” quarterback Aaron Rodgers said.

For the third consecutive week, the Packers will line up with Bakhtiari at left tackle, Jenkins at left guard, Josh Myers at center, Jon Runyan at right guard and Yosh Nijman at right tackle.

Two starters are inactive, with linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (knee) and receiver Romeo Doubs (ankle) ruled out by LaFleur on Wednesday. Also inactive are cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles and three rookies: offensive tackles Rasheed Walker and Luke Tenuta and defensive tackle Jonathan Ford.

The Titans inactives include four starters: safety Amani Hooker, outside linebacker Bud Dupree, center Ben Jones and kicker Randy Bullock. Josh Lambo was signed from the practice squad to handling kicking duties at chilly Lambeau Field.

“Those are two guys that can totally wreck a game,” LaFleur said of Simmons and Dupree.
