In this story:

GREEN BAY, Wis. – There are only three Week 2 games between 1-0 teams. One of them is set for Sunday: Green Bay Packers at Atlanta Falcons.

Green Bay’s perennially porous run defense, which played well against the Chicago Bears’ explosive rushing attack last week, will face another big test this week.

Tyler Allgeier, a fifth-round pick last year who topped 1,000 rushing yards as a rookie, rushed 15 times for 75 yards (5.0 average) and two touchdowns. First-round pick Bijan Robinson, one of the best running back prospects in years and was selected eighth overall this year, carried 10 times for 56 yards and added six receptions with one touchdown in his NFL debut.

Combined, they got the ball on 34 of the Falcons’ 48 offensive plays and scored all three touchdowns in a 24-10 victory over Carolina.

“I want to compliment him and he wants to compliment me,” Robinson said. “And then the different things we can do like run routes, catch the ball out of the backfield or play receiver, that's what makes us unique. So, I think it was pretty cool to be a part of that with him. Now we’ve got to keep it rolling.”

To keep those two in check will require another strong defensive performance. With quarterback Justin Fields out of the equation, the Bears’ other 20 running plays provided 63 yards.

A key will be Green Bay’s inside linebackers. De’Vondre Campbell, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Falcons, had seven tackles against Chicago. Quay Walker had four tackles and a pick-six in which he suffered a concussion during a goal-line collision.

Walker did not practice on Wednesday and remains in the concussion protocol but did work on the side with a trainer.

“In the moment, I had no idea. I thought he was tired,” coach Matt LaFleur said on Wednesday of if he knew Walker was injured in the moment.
