Watch: Sights and Sounds from Sunday at Training Camp

In this story:
GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay Packers’ tight ends are a focal point in the video associated with this story.
The Packers are thin at tight end after veteran Tyler Davis suffered a torn ACL at Cincinnati on Friday night. While Green Bay has four tight ends on the roster, Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft are rookies, Austin Allen went undrafted last year and hasn’t played in a game, and Josiah Deguara is more of a fullback than a traditional tight end.
At Sunday’s practice, Dre Miller went through individual drills at tight end. Miller played receiver at Maine, transitioned to tight end with the Giants, moved back to receiver upon signing with the Packers and, at least for a day, was back to tight end.
“That’s the biggest thing right now,” Miller said of his weight in an interview with Packer Central recently. “Last year, I was obviously putting the weight on to become a tight end and be able to block better in the trenches. Now, I’m a little on the heavier side for a receiver but I’ve been a receiver since sixth grade so that’s my natural position, that’s what I’ve been doing it. Getting back into that is going to be a good thing, obviously.”
Presumably adding a tight end will be on general manager Brian Gutekunst’s radar.
“Everything’s on the table,” coach Matt LaFleur said before Sunday’s practice. “You’re always making adjustments as a coach in terms of who you have from a personnel standpoint. That’s just the nature of this game, and you’ve got to try to do your best to put your best product out there. If that’s how we have to proceed, then we’ll adjust that way.”
