Panthers Trade No. 33 in NFL.com Mock Draft

In this story:
Dan Morgan will have a lot of folks around the league calling his phone at the conclusion of round one trying to pry the 33rd pick, the top pick of the second round, away from Carolina.
Teams who are in desparate need of a quarterback but can’t afford to give up the assets it takes to get one of the top four propects, will do everything they can to get in position to get someone like Michael Penix Jr. out of Washington.
In Chad Reuter’s lastest mock draft on NFL.com, he projects the Las Vegas Raiders to trade up to No. 33 to take Penix, while the Panthers receive the 44th and 112th picks in return.
Reuter’s five-round projections for the Panthers:
RD 2, Pick 39: DT Braden Fiske (Florida State)
RD 2, Pick 44: TE Ben Sinnott (Kansas State)
RD 3, Pick 65: CB T.J. Tampa (Iowa State)
RD 4, Pick 101: WR Jermaine Burton (Alabama)
RD 4, Pick 112: C Dylan McMahon (North Carolina State)
RD 5, Pick 141: EDGE Jaylen Harrell (Michigan)
RD 5, Pick 142: LB Jaylan Ford (Texas)
RD 5, Pick 148: S Jaylin Simpson (Alabama)
