In this story:

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was honored at the NHL's Boston Bruins game on March 31.

Maye was in attendance with his wife, Ann Michael Maye, as the Bruins took down the Dallas Stars, 6-3. A fan sitting with Dallas supporters sported a shirt reading, "I *heart* Drake Maye." The Mayes then witnessed Bruins' Viktor Arvidsson score a hit trick for Boston. The Bruins also scored four goals in the third period to pull away for the win over the Stars.

It marked Arvidsson's fifth hat trick in the NHL and his second straight three-point game.

Once the QB was shown on the big screen, the entire TD Garden erupted into applause. The Bruins even posted a video their X account, with the caption, "We all *heart* Drake Maye." New England's social media account also reposted another post showing both of the Mayes in attendance at TD Garden.

The ovation for Drake comes after he led the Patriots to Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks for the 2025 NFL season. New England fell short in hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.

Drake previously attended a Bruins game in May of 2024 with wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk, which was Game 4 of the Bruins' second-round matchup vs. the Florida Panthers at TD Garden. The two were mic'd up for a portion of the game and sat against the glass.

Maye Follows Up Charity Event With NHL Appearance, Advocates for Boston Community

Earlier in the day before attending the Bruins vs Stars game, the Mayes were also in attendance at Granite Telecommunications’ 13th annual “Saving by Shaving” event, which raises money for pediatric research at Boston Children’s Hospital and also provides hair for wigs via Hair We Share.

Ann Michael shaved Drake's hair, which helped raise over $4 million for Boston Children’s.

On the stat sheet for New England this season, Drake amassed 4,394 passing yards and 31 touchdowns in helping lead the Patriots to a 14-3 record and their first postseason appearance since 2021. The North Carolina alum also secured a second-team All-Pro selection, along with his second straight Pro Bowl nod.

In the postseason, Drake also continued to shine for the New England faithful and completed 70-of-120 passes (58.3%) with six touchdowns and only four interceptions.

Following the shaving of his head, Drake was wearing a hat throughout his time at TD Gatden.

The Bruins are currently sitting with 94 points in the Atlantic Division across a 43-24-8 overall record as the NHL postseason rapidly approaches.
