3 Value Free Agents Raiders Can Still Sign

In this story:
The biggest names in free agency have signed, and the Las Vegas Raiders were aggressive in bringing in talent during the first wave a few weeks ago.
The Raiders made what was maybe the biggest free-agent splash, signing center Tyler Linderbaum to a three-year, $81 million contract, making him the highest-paid center in the league. The three-time Pro Bowler will be crucial in future quarterback Fernando Mendoza's development.

Las Vegas also added players like linebackers Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker, and it also re-signed some of its own talent, including defensive end Malcolm Koonce and cornerback Eric Stokes.
But there are still plenty of free agents on the market who can help the Raiders win now and in the future.
Let's identify three players who are still available and would be good fits in the Silver and Black.
Offensive weapon Deebo Samuel

He hasn't played his best football in a few years, but Samuel could be a valuable chess piece for a Raiders offense that needs more playmakers.
Samuel, 30, caught 72 passes for 727 yards and five touchdowns with the Washington Commanders last season. Formerly known as a 'wide back,' he also ran the ball 17 times and scored one touchdown.
Samuel thrived with Kyle Shanahan's offense in San Francisco, and head coach Klint Kubiak comes from that coaching tree. He could join the Raiders and reunite with Kubiak, sparking a second wind in his career.
Cornerback Rasul Douglas

An older cornerback, Douglas has been productive in nearly all his career stops.
Douglas played for the Miami Dolphins last season, recording 62 tackles and two interceptions. He is a few years removed from playing at an elite level with the Green Bay Packers.
Douglas gives off the vibes of a player who won't sign until training camp has begun, but he would be an excellent veteran presence in a young secondary that needs leadership. He would be a solid short-term fix for this Raiders team.
Defensive tackle D.J. Reader

Reader wasn't able to make much of an impact with the Detroit Lions in the last few seasons, but he may thrive in a new defensive system if he joins the Raiders.
The veteran played in 32 games over the last two seasons, totaling 51 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, and three sacks. He is a big presence in the middle of the defensive line, which is just what the Raiders need.
Reader could sign a cheap contract and be a veteran for the young defensive tackles in the Raiders' locker room. That would make his signing worth more than whatever money he earns.
