NFL Insider Makes the Case For Ravens to Sign Pro Bowl RB
When it comes to potentially leaving Las Vegas, NFL insider Jason La Canfora believes there's no better scenario for Josh Jacobs than a new lease with the Baltimore Ravens.
While doubting Baltimore's full capability of landing the Las Vegas Raiders running back, La Canfora outlined why it'd be such a strong match on the Audacy podcast "In the Huddle."
“Josh Jacobs has never played with a great quarterback. He’s never played with a great offensive line. (But) he’s been incredibly productive,” La Canfora reasoned. “You’ve got these two tight ends who you should be better throwing the better out of heavy packages, especially if you have an every-down back. I don’t think they’ll do it but I think it’s the kind of thing they should consider.”

Jacobs is poised to be one of the headliners of a running back class whose futures have been thrown into flux by the debate around the position's importance and value in the modern game. The soon-to-be sixth-year man played last season on a $12 million deal but struggled to build upon a league-leading rushing season, picking up 805 yards on a mere 3.5 yards a carry.
Adding Jacobs would be part of a proposed offseason plan laid out by La Canfora, one that believes that Baltimore should look to add more size in the wake of supposedly struggling to find receiving talents.
He foresees Jacobs' 223-lb. frame pairing well with the potentially expanded uses of young big men like tight end Isaiah Likely. Jacobs' stacked skillset would also add an aura of unpredictability to the Ravens' offense, as opposed to the expected tasks of Gus Edwards and Justice Hill.

This offseason could be one of swift change in the Ravens' rushing room, as Edwards and the oft-injured JK Dobbins are due to hit the market. Partly helped by the dual-threat antics of Lamar Jackson, Baltimore led the league in rushing en route to the AFC title game.
