Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke highly of new cornerback Ronald Darby's performance in his Ravens debut.

"I thought Ronald played really good, especially coming back off an injury," Harbaugh said. "You kind of forget that it even happened that recently. He looks good to me and I'm really really happy he's on our team. He's a great guy, plays super hard, competitor, just our kind of guy."

Darby recorded seven tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended in a 25-9 win over the Houston Texans. He was part of a defensive back group that held rookie Texans quarterback CJ Stroud to 5.5 yards per passing attempt and zero touchdowns in his NFL debut.

He was signed by Baltimore during training camp after star cornerback Marlon Humphrey went down with an injury and was slated to miss the start of the season. Darby signed a one-year deal with the Ravens worth $1.7 million, but it could rise up to $3.2 million if incentives are reached.

The 29-year-old cornerback is in his ninth NFL season and is on his fifth different team. Darby's best stretch came with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he recorded six interceptions, 32 passes defended and 114 tackles across three seasons. He also played a big role on the Eagles team that won Super Bowl LII over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots 41-33.

The Ravens and Darby will be back in action on Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. ET on the road against their AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals
