DeAndre Hopkins Signing 'Worth Considering' - Or OBJ Enough For Ravens?

In this story:
Has there been a more significant turnaround in how an offensive unit is perceived than the one represented by the Baltimore Ravens this offseason? After potentially having no quarterback and a limited receiving room, the Ravens have re-signed Lamar Jackson and added Odell Beckham Jr. and Zay Flowers.
And now, they're being linked with free-agent receiver DeAndre Hopkins. Baltimore has been included on a list of "best fits" for Hopkins by Nick Shook of NFL.com, and he thinks it is an option the Ravens should take a look at.
"Lamar Demeatrice Jackson Jr. He's the reason Baltimore is on this list," Shook writes. "Oddly enough, for the first time in recent memory, Baltimore appears to be pretty well stocked at the position.
"But again, it's not just any old veteran looking for another contract -- it's a three-time first-team All-Pro. Whether Hopkins can be that type of player again remains to be seen. But he likes the idea of playing with Jackson, and Baltimore is supposedly opening up its offense under new coordinator Todd Monken. It's worth considering."
With an offense boasting Beckham Jr., Flowers, the returning Rashod Bateman, and Devin Duvernay, it seems like a stacked receiving room already ... and then there comes the financial aspect of going after Hopkins.
But if the Ravens want to leap to be genuine Super Bowl contenders, then adding Hopkins could put them right at the pointy end of the conversation. Additionally, Hopkins has publicly stated his desire to one day play with Lamar. As if the Ravens didn't need any more incentive, well, they just got it.
Adding the All-Pro to an offense already brimming with talent could make Baltimore one of the few teams in the AFC capable of going toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
The move for Hopkins is good in theory, but for now, it remains just that - a theory.
