NFL Draft: Las Vegas Odds On Saints First Pick

Las Vegas oddsmakers are banking on the New Orleans Saints choosing a defensive player at No. 29.

Las Vegas oddsmakers are banking on the New Orleans Saints choosing a defensive player at No. 29.

The Saints' defensive line aims to stop the run in 2023 after allowing an average of 130.5 rushing yards per game last season. After losing David Onyemata to the Atlanta team and Shy Tuttle to the Panthers during free agency, general manager Mickey Loomis signed veteran defensive tackles Nathan Shepherd and Khalen Saunders to join the team and fill the gaps. Malcolm Roach re-signed a one-year, $1.01M contract to remain with the club for 2023-24. Todd Grantham, the defensive line coach, will work alongside defensive coordinator Joe Wood to bring back the tenacity of the defensive front.
