Aaron Rodgers Has Half Million Dollars on Line in Steelers Game

In this story:
PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has more than just a shot at the playoffs on the line in Week 18 against the Baltimore Ravens.
A win at Acrisure Stadium to close out the regular season puts the Steelers in the playoffs with at least one home game as AFC North champions. They'd go 2-0 against their biggest rival and have a strong win to add to their momentum before the postseason.
Aaron Rodgers would also have more money in his contract.
Like many players across the league, Rodgers has incentives in his contract with the Steelers. All but one are team based, with the first being that if the Steelers make the playoffs, Rodgers earns another $500,000.
If the Steelers win the Wild Card round, he earns another $600,000 and if they win the Divisional round, he'll earn another $750,000. If they won the AFC Championship game and headed to San Francisco for the Super Bowl, he'd make another $1 million.

While it seems nearly impossible to accomplish now, Rodgers has one personal incentive that if he wins NFL MVP, he'd earn another $1.5 million.
He'll earn the final piece of his $3.65 million salary this week to add to his $10 million signing bonus that he received when he inked a contract with the Steelers.
Rodgers Isn't Alone
The Steelers quarterback isn't the only player on the roster chasing incentives. Cam Heyward fought all summer to add to his deal and received some incentives as well.
He could earn another $1.6 million on his contract if he totals eight sacks on the season. He's only at 3.5 so far, making that challenge one that seems pretty unlikely heading into the game.
Kyle Dugger missed his Pro Bowl incentive of $1 million but if he's selected as a First-Team or Second-Team All-Pro, he'll earn another $1 million on his contract. It's not likely, but Dugger has had some impressive moments with the Steelers.
Win or Go Home
Some extra money always adds motivation but the Steelers are playing for a lot more than contract incentives in Week 18. This winner-takes-all matchup against the Ravens will end one team's season, while the other is crowned AFC North champions.
This is Pittsburgh's second chance to win the division and claim their playoff spot, with Week 17 being their first. After a loss to the Browns, they've spent the week trying to refocus and prepare for their biggest matchup of the season.
For Rodgers, he's got a playoff run and some extra bonuses on the line in this regular season finale.
