Drive Chart: Here's What the Titans Offense Did on Every Possession in Week 4 Against Cincinnati Bengals

The Tennessee Titans took on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. We saw a vastly different offense than last week as the Titans put up 24 points in the first half on their way to a 27-3 win. Here is what the Titans' offense did on every drive.

The Tennessee Titans took on the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 4 and were able to get a 27-3 win as the offense drove the team. This was an incredible improvement from the lack luster performance we saw in Week 3. Here is what happened on every offensive drive of the day.

Drive No. 1

  • Game Status: 9:12 remaining in the first quarter
  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill
  • Plays/Yards: 15 plays, 40 yards
  • Result: 53-yard Field Goal
  • Key Play: Tannehill converted on a critical fourth down near midfield and short by buying time in the pocket and completing a pass to Tyjae Spears.
  • SMH Moment: Tannehill was sacked on the final third down of the drive when multiple Bengals converged on him.
  • The Skinny: The Titans missed a big chance on a trick play throw that went off DeAndre Hopkins' finger tips, settle for three points.

  • Game Status: 13:23 remaining in the first quarter
  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill
  • Plays/Yards: 3 plays, 2 yards
  • Result: Punt
  • SMH Moment: Titans took another pre-snap penalty after a bad first-down to ruin the drive.
  • The Skinny: The Titans are their own worst enemy with the penalties this year.

  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill
  • Plays/Yards: 5 plays, 78 Yards
  • Result: Touchdown
  • Key Play: Tannehill connected with DeAndre Hopkins for 38 yards on third down to keep the drive alive.
  • The Skinny: The Titans score and take the lead on a play action pass to Westbrook-Ikhine in the right flat. Strong finish for the score.

  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill

  • Result: Touchdown

  • Key Play: Derrick Henry took one in from 29 yards out in classic Henry fashion.
  • The Skinny: The Titans score again as the offense is absolutely cooking in the first half. Play-action passing at the center of the success.

  • Game Status:  1:20 remaining in the second quarter:
  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill 
  • Plays/Yards: 7 plays, 80 yards
  • Result: Touchdown
  • Key Play: Tannehill hit a 44-yard deep shot to Chris Moore on a play that was reviewed.
  • The Skinny: Henry threw for a score to cap off the drive right before halftime on a play that featured Henry in the wildcat and Jeffery Simmons making an appearance.

Drive No. 6

  • Game Status: 14:55 remaining in the third quarter:
  • Quarterback: Ryan Tannehill
  • Plays/Yards: 15 plays, 65 yards
  • Result: 35-yard Field Goal
  • SMH Moment: Radunz was called for holding on a productive first-down run that killed the drive.
  • Key Play: On third and 16, a Tannehill pass fell to the ground, but the Bengals were called for unnecessary roughness and the Titans got a first down.
  • The Skinny: The Titans took over ten minutes off the clock on a drive that put them up by 24 points. It was the longest drive the Titans have had in 20 years.

  • SMH Moment: Titans hit a big play, but a penalty on Andre Dillard brought it back. 
  • The Skinny: Titans are trying to salt the clock away and helped that cause even on an unsuccessful drive.

  • Plays/Yards: 5 plays, 13 yards
  • Result: Interception
  • SMH Moment: Tannehill made a questionable decision on a pass that was intercepted by the Bengals.

  • Key Play: Henry went over 100 yards on the day on the drive, but a nine-yard run to open things set the tone.
