NASHVILLE - Since DeAndre Hopkins first visited Nashville and the Tennessee Titans as part of his free-agent tour, there has been a multitude of negative comments about the franchise he came to choose for the next stop in his career, and those who would suggest that Hopkins will fail here like others before him who came here late in their illustrious careers.

However, none of that seems to bother Hopkins at all. In fact, he took to his personal Twitter account to tell them so.

"I always loved having haters and doubters, but I appreciate it even more now," wrote Hopkins on Sunday night when the news of his plans to sign with Tennessee became public. "Titan Up!!"

This isn't the first time during his free agency that Hopkins has taken to social media to share his displeasure with those haters, or doubters, or the media for the narratives they've spun.

At the same time, Hopkins seems to be ultra-confident in himself and his ability to continue to play at a high level despite his age.

"I'll retire from football when I'm not a 1k-yard receiver. With that said, I was on pace for 1,400 yards last year—one significant injury in 11 years. I might be playing till I’m 37 the way I feel," wrote Hopkins earlier this month in a social media post.

Throughout his career, Hopkins has not been afraid to share his strong personality and his confidence. Both are traits that should bode well for him with his new team, as he will need to show some of the younger players on this team as a veteran leader

Either way, Hopkins will soon sign his deal and become the newest receiver on this roster. He will then need to go out and show those things to the haters and doubters to prove them wrong.
