Report Says Skoronski 'Boring' To Arthur Smith

In this story:
NASHVILLE - According to a report by Pro Football Talk, new Tennessee Titans lineman and first-round pick Peter Skoronski was ‘boring’ during his combine interview with Atlanta Falcons head coach and former Titans offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. So much so that Smith allegedly told this to Skoronski during the interview.
“The head coach was on me the second I got in there,” Skoronski said. “I was giving them generic answers to their questions, and he said, ‘You’re really boring me right now. Your answers are so boring.’ The whole meeting, he kept looking at his computer. I was kind of laughing to myself and said, ‘Sorry, I don’t know what you want me to do. I’m answering you honestly,’” said the PFT report via Dan Pompei of TheAthletic.com.
Having heard Skoronski answer questions twice, once shortly after his selection and the second at his introductory press conference here in Nashville the day after his pick by the Titans in the NFL Draft, I can say that the young lineman is somewhat soft-spoken but seemed very sharp and engaging during those minutes he spent speaking.
I’m not sure what questions Smith was asking or the setting of the interview in Indianapolis, and perhaps Smith didn’t sleep well in his hotel bed the night before meeting the former Northwestern standout, but Skoronski did not seem the least bit boring during our time with him.
Of course, we will learn more about him in the coming days as the Titans rookie minicamp is scheduled to begin May 13th, and there is little doubt that Skoronski, even before this revelation, was to be one of the most interviewed of the Titans rookies.
I’m betting this will be one of the first few questions he fields when we talk with him again.
There have been some boring guys in the Titans locker room over the years, but at least early on, Skoronski doesn’t seem to be one of them.
