NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Titans return to the practice field on Wednesday as the team resumes organized team activities in a morning session open to the media.

As with OTAs, this is a voluntary activity, meaning that some players present during last week's mandatory minicamp may not return this week.

Of course, the question began after Thursday's minicamp practice, as to Kevin Byard, who was absent from the previous OTAs, and explained that he was following his own workout program this offseason.

While this is not an issue for me, as I do not doubt that Byard will be in place when the team opens training camp, his questions will likely reappear on Wednesday when head coach Mike Vrabel faces the media again following the team's workday.

As for real issues and on-field competitions, the battle for the No. 2 quarterback position will continue, as well as the wide receiver group, where the bottom portion will continue to compete for roster spots.

Likewise, the movement we've seen during recent practices along the offensive line will continue as the coaches work to solidify the line and find depth behind the starters.

Of course, there will be the inevitable DeAndre Hopkins questions for Vrabel, where he will share his coach speak to answer without saying anything of real substance. Knowing what's coming and that Vrabel isn't going to share much almost makes me feel sorry for him having to go through the motions. That said, it is the job of those in the media to ask the question, but it's a waltz we've seen before.

This will likely be the final OTA session we will see between now and the opening of training camp, and we will enter the break looking to find the answers to the same questions in August that we're currently asking.
