NASHVILLE - Despite the continuing rumors, the relationship between Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry and the team is in a "good place."

In an interview with ESPN's Turron Davenport this week during the NFL owner's meeting in Arizona, Titans general manager Ran Carthon remarked on the current situation between the two sides.

"There's nothing new to report. It was an erroneous report that came out," said Carthon. "You know, I've spoken to Todd (France), you know, Derrick's representative,  and, you know, we're in a good place. So there's nothing new to report from there."

"I know Derrick trains like crazy in the location where he trains, and I know the location, but I don't want to put it out there, but Derrick is going to be Derrick. You know, he's going to take his time away and do what he has to do to make sure he's ready to go, so I feel we're in a good place."

Once again, the message appears to be that Henry will indeed be part of the 2023 Titans roster, but as with anything in the NFL, that can change instantly if a team comes to the table with the right trade offer.

Still, given these comments, one could assume that there have been no significant offers for Henry at this time, and with the running back under contract, he remains the team's top running back, at least for now.
