According to Yahoo Sports Terez Paylor, wide receiver Sammy Watkins will re-sign with the Chiefs on a one-year deal. Per Paylor Watkins will earn a base salary of $9 million in the 2020 season with the possibility of earning up to $16 million in incentives. The move creates $5m in cap space for the Chiefs to operate this offseason. As a member of the Chiefs last year, Watkins caught 52 passes for 673 yards with three touchdowns. Watkins will look to aid the Chiefs on their quest to repeat as Super Bowl champions next season.
