There's tough luck, bad luck and then whatever kind of luck Ryan Kesler is having.

The Vancouver center, who missed the first 12 games of the season while recovering from surgery to his shoulder and wrist, is now out indefinitely after suffering a broken foot.

It's thought he could be out of the lineup from four to six weeks.

According to Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province, Kesler sustained the break in the Feb. 21 game against the Dallas Stars. He stayed in the lineup for the next three games, but ultimately learned of the damage after undergoing a CT scan today.

He was credited for blocking shots off the sticks of Brenden Dillon and Michael Ryder in the game against the Stars. It's not known if the injury came on either of those plays.

Kesler was off to a solid start, scoring a goal and posting four assists through seven games.
