Oilers sign free agents Benoit Pouliot, Mark Fayne

The Edmonton Oilers have signed left wing Benoit Pouliot and defenseman Mark Fayne on the NHL's first day of free agency, the team announced on Tuesday. 

Pouliot's deal is for $20 million over five-years, while Fayne's is a four-year deal worth $14.5 million, reports ESPN

Pouliot, 27, spent last season with the Eastern Conference Champion New York Rangers, scoring 15 goals and totaling 36 points in the regular season and adding 10 more points during the Rangers' playoff run. 

Fayne comes to the Oilers from the New Jersey Devils, where the 27-year-old totaled 11 points in 72 games.

Neither player's contract will include a no-trade clause according to The Star-Ledger
