Shea Weber just put a puck through the freaking boards

We all know that Nashville Predators defenseman Shea Weber has one of the hardest slap shots in the NHL. This is, after all, a guy who was clocked at 106 miles per hour during the 2012 All-Star Skills Challenge. A guy who has fired a puck through the net on multiple occasions. He'll go down in history as one of the all-time bombers.

But this is something else entirely.

NHL jobs report: what's up for grabs in the Central Division

At a summer skate on Thursday, Weber reportedly fired a puck through the boards.

Yep. Through the boards.

Teammate Seth Jones shared a photo of the staggering destruction via his Twitter account:

Fortunately, there were no casualties.

We've seen guys do some damage with their shots before, but this is next level stuff. Keep this image in mind the next time you see an opposing defenseman lay down to try to block one of Weber's point blasts, or one of his teammates parked in front of the net looking for a deflection. Profiles in courage, both of 'em.
