The Capitals revealed their jerseys for the 2015 Winter Classic Tuesday in an event at Nationals Park in Washington.

The Capitals revealed their jerseys for the 2015 Winter Classic on Tuesday at Nationals Park in Washington. 

The jersey is red, with white stripes atop the shoulders and along the bottom. The front features the team's name in white lettering over a large blue "W." The center portion of the "W" is stylized like the Washington Monument.

The Capitals will play the Blackhawks on New Year's Day 2015 outdoors at Nationals Park, home of the Washington Nationals.

Each team will be making its second Winter Classic appearance. The Blackhawks hosted the Red Wings in 2009 at Wrigley Field and the Capitals visited the Penguins in 2011 at Heinz Field.
