Toronto Maple Leafs' Joffrey Lupul leaves Wednesday's game vs. Bruins

The oft-injured Toronto Maple Leafs winger Joffrey Lupul left Wednesday night's game vs. the Boston Bruins after an accidental run-in in the neutral zone.

Lupul left the game shortly after falling to the ice to catch the puck out of mid-air and having Bruins winger Milan Lucic land on him at 5:43 in the second period. No penalties were given even though Lupul did not return to the ice for a lower-body injury, according to the Maple Leafs.

Lupul missed most of November due to a broken hand, but it’s not yet certain if Lupul will miss any future games for this injury.

On a more upbeat note, fellow Leaf Phil Kessel reached his 500th NHL point in the game.
