Watch: Predators' Pekka Rinne nabs possible save of the year vs. 'Canes

Wednesday January 7th, 2015

Pekka Rinne’s year in net for the Nashville Predators is going swimmingly. On Tuesday night, he offered a spectacular addition to his highlight reel.

At 9:19 in the first period of Nashville’s 3-2 win against the Carolina Hurricanes, Rinne made an unbelievable backwards kick save on Nathan Gerbe. Gerbe had a wide-open net as Jiri Tlusty managed to poke the puck away when Rinne was out of the crease.

Sure, the Preds' goalie got a little lucky, but it was no big deal for the man leading the league in wins (26) right now.
