Sidney Crosby (lower-body injury) will not play in All-Star Game

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby will not play in this weekend's All-Star Game, the team announced Thursday.
The Penguins said Crosby has been playing through a lower-body injury that will take a week to heal. Because he is not playing the All-Star Game, he will not be allowed to play in the team's first game after the break.
Evgeni Malkin, Crosby's Pittsburgh teammate, will also skip the All-Star Game with an injury.
