Fresh off being named the NHL’s 2nd star of the week on Monday, the St. Louis Blues goalie Jake Allencontinued his lights-out play against the Los Angeles Kings.

Allen made a stunning diving glove save to rob Kings forward Anze Kopitarof an open net goal early in the first period. Kopitar was barely able to believe Allen made the save, being caught on camera recovering from the breath-taking stop and simply saying, "Wow."

There’s certainly more to Allen’s game than just highlight reel saves, as evidenced by the three wins and 0.98 goals against average last week. But as enticing as stat lines like those are, they’re not nearly as remarkable to look at repeatedly as his save tonight. Blues Coach Ken Hitchcock will probably consider both however as Allen looks to wrestle the starter’s job away for good from Brian Elliott.
