Nikolay Goldobin, a Sharks’ prospect playing with the AHL’s San Jose Barracuda, shared a moment with his visiting mother after scoring a hat trick.

Mother’s Day isn’t for another four months, but don’t tell that to Nikolay Goldobin, a Russian forward playing for the American Hockey League’s San Jose Barracuda.

Goldobin, the San Jose Sharks’ first pick in 2014, scored his first AHL hat trick and recorded four points in a 5-1 win over the Texas Stars on Sunday. After he was named the game’s first star, Goldobin shared the moment with his mother, who was making a rare visit from Russia.
