We're almost at the mid-point of the NHL season as we approach the All-Star break, and the Stanley Cup contenders have started to separate themselves from the pack. Check out the latest NHL news and rumors below.
• The Lightning are “actively and aggressively” trying to trade forward Jonathan Drouin, reports the Tampa Tribune's Erik Erlendsson. Drouin requested a trade three weeks ago, and Tampa Bay suspended him two days ago for failing to report to an AHL game.
• The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that goalie Sergei Bobrovsky suffered a lower-body injury in their 4–2 loss to the Calgary Flames. He will be re-evaluated Friday to find out the full extent of the injury.
