Sharks Coach David Quinn Ejected After Profanity-Laced Tirade

The Sharks are in the midst of a rebuild, as they currently boast one of the worst records in the NHL, but that doesn’t mean they lack competitive fire. In fact, one incident on Saturday night showed just how competitive San Jose is, and how frustrated the team is this season.

Trailing 4-2 to the Capitals in the third period, Sharks winger Kevin Labanc was sent to the penalty box on a hooking call, but San Jose coach David Quinn absolutely did not agree. While arguing with the officials, Quinn unleashed myriad f-bombs and ultimately was ejected from the game for his efforts.

Lipreaders beware: The video clip below features more f-bombs than we could count.

The ejection meant San Jose was given another minor penalty and had to go on a 5-on-3 penalty kill against Washington. From then on, the Sharks would allow four more goals and lose, 8-3.

San Jose actually led 2-0 after the first period but was outscored 8-1 in the final two periods of the game. Ouch.

The loss kept San Jose at 48 points in the standings, which is the third-lowest point total of any NHL team this season.
