The United States thoroughly defeated Guatemala 4–0 in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday.

Jozy Altidore scored the U.S.’s fourth goal in the 89th minute, the final nail in Guatemala’s coffin. The victory was a much-needed one for the U.S., who avenged a loss to Guatemala from last week and kept its 2018 World Cup hopes alive.

Altidore’s goal came off a pass from his longtime teammate Clint Dempsey.
