Netherlands forward Arjen Robben is unlikely to play in Tuesday's European Championship qualifying match against the Czech Republic because of an ankle injury, coach Guus Hiddink said.

Robben, who plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, has already been ruled out for Thursday's friendly against Italy. The team is doubtful about his chances of playing Tuesday during Oranje's first qualifier for Euro 2016.

"It is looking very difficult, we haven’t had any contact with him yet,” Hiddink told reporters, via Reuters.
"He hasn’t done any training and it would be very difficult to get him into the swing of things in just a couple of days before the match against the Czechs,” Hiddink warned.

Robben scored three goals and tallied one assist for the Netherlands during the 2014 World Cup.
