Liverpool's Lazar Markovic banned four European games for red card

UEFA has confirmed that Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has been banned for four European games, thanks to a red card in the final Champions League group stage match against Basel in December, the BBC reports.
During the match, Markovic was sent off for flinging a backhand at Basel defender Behrang Safari.
Last May in UEFA Europa League play, Markovich was sent off while playing for Benfica. Because of the previous offense, he was suspended more than the typical three-game ban for violent play.
