U.S. U-17 national team names roster for World Cup qualification

U.S. U-17 national team coach Richie Williams has named a 20-player roster that will travel to Honduras to represent the United States in the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.

For Klinsmann's USMNT, balancing Mia San Mia, ambition no simple task

Four teams from the competition will serve as CONCACAF's representatives at this year's U-17 World Cup, to be held in Chile in October and November. The U.S. is paired with Cuba, Guatemala, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, and hosts Honduras in Group A, with the remaining six teams (Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Haiti, Panama, and Saint Lucia) making up Group B.

The top team in each group will automatically qualify for the World Cup and will play for the regional championship, while the second and third-placed teams in each group will advance to a playoff to determine the final two qualifiers.
