Mikel Arteta locks horns with Cesc Fàbregas for the first time as Arsenal welcome Como to the Emirates Stadium for a preseason friendly.

Arteta never crossed paths with Fàbregas during their playing days in north London, with the former arriving a month after the latter pushed for a move to Barcelona and eventually got his wish. However, it was Fàbregas’s return to the Premier League via Chelsea that really irked Gunners supporters, who’d regarded the midfielder as one of their modern-day greats.

Like Arteta, he’s doing some stellar work in his first coaching role, with Como preparing for a season of Champions League soccer after finishing fourth in Serie A last season.

They’re testing themselves against the Premier League champions on Wednesday, although Arsenal have succumbed to back-to-back defeats after starting their summer slate with a simple victory over Girona.

Arsenal.com is streaming all of the club’s preseason matches, and fans can buy individual match passes for £6.99 ($9.42).

There had been an option to buy a preseason pass covering all of the club’s friendlies, costing £14.99 ($20.21), but that offer expired before their first outing of the summer against Girona. Only individual match passes are still available. These passes can be purchased from any country in the world, excluding Italy, where the match is only available on SportItalia.

In Mexico, the friendly is being streamed on ESPN2 and Disney+.
