Nine stadium workers have died in the build-up to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, a sobering reminder of the human cost of hosting the competition. Sadly, that number is going to pale in comparison to the casualties in Qatar, where the count of dead migrant workers continues to increase at an alarming rate.

ESPN's E:60 show produced a lengthy segment that aired Tuesday night on the atrocities taking place in Qatar, which are not just limited to, but very much include stadium workers who are building the venues for the 2022 World Cup. Take the time to watch the important film above, but beware, some of the images are staggering and disturbing.
