The 49ers' brand-new stadium is struggling today

The $1.3 billion, brand-new home of San Francisco 49ers underwent some struggles Sunday.
Fans and players at Levi's Stadium for an NFL preseason contest between the Niners and the San Diego Chargers were treated to some less-than-green replacement turf that caused players to lose footing.
After 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh saw players slipping and sliding on the original turf Wednesday he asked grounds crews to install new sod for this weekend's game. On Thursday, they did just that.
As C.J. Fogler's gif demonstrates below, Sunday's new grass didn't fare much better.
Adding insult to injury, a San Jose Mercury News reporter noted one of the stadium's new escalators had broken down.
The up escalator at #LevisStadium is broken. Already. Insane.

It could be a bit of an uphill climb to get the kinks sorted out at the Field Of Jeans just yet.
